Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone!! I love easter, being able to remember our Savior on such a special day! I am so grateful for the atonement and the resurrection! I also love all the fun things to do! We took Lilly to an easter egg hunt in town and it was so crowded!! There was probably 2,000 kids there. Lilly thought it was fun to pick up eggs with treats inside. Luckily she got about 10, some kids didn't get any.

Lilly's loot, I like to get her a new Easter Dress every year!

Surprise, she was excited to get her prizes!

Easter Morning, Lilly loves to wear hats! She wore this hat the entire time at church I was very impressed!

Me on easter morning

So I really wanted a picture of all us on Easter b/c we all got new clothes and I was so excited to show us off. Except when we took this picture I looked at it and thought hmm.... I look like a whale! I know every pregnant women feels like that.

THis is another sideview of me. I had some people asking me for some pictures, so there you go!

So I am 35 weeks pregnant. I went into the doctor on thursday (I see the doctor 2-3 times a week) for an ultrasound(I get 1 ultrasound a week). About this same time with Lilly my amniotic fluid started going down. But so far this pegnancy has been great but then I went in on Thursday and guess what, my fluid is going down like with Lilly. So now I get 2 ultrasounds a week instead of one to watch my fluid levels. I am grateful that my doctors are keeping a close eye on it but its still kind of stressful. So I'm drinking water like crazy to hopefully keep it up until 37 weeks when the doctor will hopefully induce me. She said if it doesn't stay up I will have to be hospitalized to try IV hydration to try and get me to 37 weeks. So I should only have 2 more weeks left. I'm grateful for that but I worry a lot! I was just thinking about all the stuff I need to get done before I have this little one.

Happy Easter

Blessing dress

When we found out we were having another girl I knew that I would have to make another blessing dress for her (because you know how girls are,"what mom you didn't make my dress but you made one for Lilly?) I made Lilly's and it was one of those things I had hoped not to have to do again for awhile. There were many tears shed on Lilly's dress. I'm an ok sewer but I'm not perfect thats for sure. Especially when you are dealing with tiny baby clothes. But I decided to make the pattern easier, with Lilly's it was all from scratch and it was very frustrating. I get how I want it in my head and I go with that and sometimes its hard to make.

This is the new dress that I made for our new addition!

Another view

This is the new dress on the left and Lilly's on the right. I made this dress a little bit longer than Lilly's. Lilly was so tiny that it really didn't fit her.

I just really hope my girls appreciate the dresses when they are older!!

update

So these past few weeks have been a little crazy. First, Nate and I went to Utah for his cousin's wedding, we drove out on Friday, were there Saturday then drove home Sunday. My parents watched Lilly for us, Thank you!! BUt it was nice to see them get married where NAte and I got married. We hadn't been back since our marriage. Then when we got back NAte's younger sister Ashley and her two Kids came to see us for all of last week. We had a great time checking out everything we could in Denver. Someday's were cold so we just hung out at home but the girls loved playing. So I took some pictures of the wedding but I didn't take any pictures of Ashley and her family (i'm really bad at taking pictures). But hopefully in the next few weeks Ashley will send me some and then I will post those.

Grand America Hotel in Salt lake where the Reception/Wedding dinner was!!

Lilly and her cousins got matching tutu dresses that they wore. Penny is in the background

Dinner was so yummy!! Ribeye steak, Salmon and fancy chicken with all kinds of yummy food.

Nate's sister's Jessica and Melissa and me. I was pretty tired after driving so much. I told nate I didn't want to do a road trip again when I was that pregnant! OH well it was still fun to see Nate's family!

Valentines Day and other ramblings!

Happy Valentine's Day!!! I think its a fun holiday to remember those you Love! So I've noticed that blogging is becoming a thing of the past, which makes me sad. I know my life is not that interesting but its a way to keep up with family and friends that doesn't live close by. So I'm going to try to blog more and I hope more people start to blog more too. Believe me my life is like the same thing every single week but its still fun to see.

So for some reason with this pregnancy I've started baking. I am not a baker. I like to cook but not bake. I think its my mentality of this takes work and when I'm done I'll feel bad for eating it. But for some reason I bake now. I need to stop eventually so that I don't start looking like a chunky monkey! But it has been fun to try new recipes that I wanted to try for awhile.

So this Valentine's day Nate and I went to a restaurant called Maggianos. It was delicious!! Then we bought the new Twilight movie and came home to watch it. It was fun and relaxing. I think Lilly liked getting candy!

This is Lilly on Valentine's day, I got the hat for really cheap and she wanted to wear it all day. I bought it for her for this summer but she wanted to wear it anyways! Cute!!

At dinner

Before dinner, I know that I am just like every other pregnant woman but I really don't like getting my picture taken right now (when I am not feeling all that beautiful). It took a few shots before I was like ok its fine.

But I am very grateful for my sweet little family who I love very much!! I hope you all had a great Valentine's day!

Potty Training

So I knew this day would eventually come since I am a mom and Lilly has a diaper, but I was hoping that she would just teach herself. But I have been putting it off for awhile now and I want to get her potty trained before the new baby comes in a few months and I'm sick of changing her diaper. So all this week I will be staying home and teaching her to use the potty, we'll see how it goes. Lilly has quite the temper so we'll see how she handles me telling her to use the potty. Should be fun, Wish me luck!!

THis is not Lilly, I just thought they were cute pictures!

NYC at Christmas

A lot has happened in the past month since I last posted. This year we decided to go to NYC to see my brother before he graduates in May. I wanted to go to his graduation but I will either be having a baby or have a brand new baby when he graduates so we decided to go now. We saw lots of neat things.

This is the Empire state building

My mom bought her grand kids matching PJ'S so we had to take a picture with them on, Lilly loved being able to play with her cousins

Garrett and Lilly chasing each other, they got along great by the end of the trip

Freezing at the statue of Liberty. It was very cold that day!

We ate at the Hard rock cafe in Times square!

Every morning I watch the Today show and we were able to go to the NBC studios where they film it. I was excited!

This picture is supposed to be turned the other way, but its a display of all the different Christmas decor out on the streets in NYC.

We were able to go see the Rockettes at Radio city music Hall. This is the most beautiful Chandelier I have ever seen in the lobby of Radio City music hall.

Rockefeller Tree

The rockettes performing

The statue of Liberty

Good view of Manhattan from the Island with the statue of Liberty

Same picture but you can see the new World trade center being built. It is the tallest building there that looks like it is still under construction.

In front of the Statue of Liberty, my sister missed it a little bit when she was taking the picture but its there.

Manhattan temple, so neat, we went inside and it was so peaceful compared to the noisy city just outside!

While we were there I got some tickets to see the daytime Cooking show called "the Chew." Nate, me, Aleisha and my mom went and saw it. It was neat to see how a live tv show works. You would never guess that there are like 30 people behind the cameras working everything and the set is not that big. On the show there are five hosts and they are Carla hall (she was on Top chef, nate and I watched her), Michael Symon (a chef in New york), Mario Bartoli (a famous chef), Daphne Oz(Daughter of the famous Dr. Oz and she is a self help author), and Clinton Kelly (he is also on TLC's what not to wear). We had a great time and got some canolis for being in the audience.

We went to the famous toy store FAO Schwartz. My niece and nephew and my sister Brooke played on the big piano.

Lilly fell asleep when we were there. I was just surprised she wasn't grabbing all the toys.

On the streets of NEW York

Cousins

So the day after we got back from New York we got an ultrasound and we found out that we are having a GIRL!! I was very very surprised. I thought for sure we were having a boy. If you would of asked me I would have said I was 98% sure it was a boy. So I haven't done any belly shots of me yet b/c I didn't think boys would care how their mom looked pregnant with them. But when we found out it was a girl I was like OK I'll do a belly shot for my future daughter because they seem to care about that stuff. So this is me at 20 wks. I'm about the same size I was with Lilly. Now we have to think of girls names which we were not thinking of. I'm excited for Lilly to have a little sister and for another girl. Girls are so much fun to dress!
